What Is Invisalign?
Do you have teeth that could use some straightening? Is your smile a little off, but you don’t want to have to deal with all the hassle of having braces? Perhaps you just think you are too old for braces. Luckily you have another option.
Invisalign is the discrete, comfortable, and convenient way to straighten your teeth. Invisalign uses a specially made series of aligners created just for you. These aligner trays are made of a smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible plastic. Wearing the aligners will gently shift your teeth into place over time. You simply use a new set of clear aligners about every two weeks until your treatment is finished and you have the smile of your dreams!
How Does Invisalign Work?
There are five simple steps in the Invisalign process.
Step 1 – Schedule a Consultation
The first step is scheduling a consultation to make sure you are a good candidate for Invisalign. We want to make sure that this is the most effective treatment option for you.
Step 2 – Create Your Custom Plan
Next, we use x-rays, impressions, and pictures to create a three dimensional model of your mouth. We use the model to create a custom tooth movement plan that is tailored to your goals.
Step 3 – Craft Your Personalized Set of Aligners
The people at Invisalign create a set of custom-made aligners just for you! Each set of plastic aligner trays will be fully personalized to match the shape of your mouth and gently guide your teeth into a new alignment over time.
Step 4 – Maintain Your Plan
Now that you have your aligners, you are ready to start the process! Simply switch out your aligners approximately every two weeks and watch as your teeth gently and gradually begin to shift into place.
Step 5 – Reveal Your New Smile
Treatment usually takes about a year to complete for adults. When you are finished with your last set of aligners, you will have the smile you’ve always dreamed of!

- Almost invisible treatment for a straight and beautiful smile.
- No wires poking at your gums, just smooth plastic.

- Brush and floss your teeth as per usual.
- No food restrictions, just take the aligners out when you eat.
- Very noticeable metal, wires, and brackets.
- Wires are painful and can cause irritation and inflammation in the gums.
- Unable to remove.
- Brushing and flossing with braces can be difficult and unhygienic.
- Many food restrictions.
